I'm still pre-op but was curious: is there really a proven way to get rid of or hide stretch marks? I didn't realize how bad mine are until I looked today and if I'm going to have a new body, I want it to look as new as possible!

I can't get rid of them either.

I guess you could use the same stuff a pregnant woman uses to help with stretch marks.< /p>

Go to your pharmacy and ask what they recommend.

Let us know if it works.

Mine are awful from 3 pregnancies... never found anything that helped and you can see how the elasticity is gone behind them, so I think they're perm. I consider them battle scars. :)

With all of the loose wrinkly saggy skin mine are much less noticeable. Definitely still there, just much lighter and less pronounced.

I agree the loose wrinkly saggy skin makes the stretch marks look different. They are the least of my problems now. It's the loose wrinkly saggy skin I'm worried about!

Unfortunately, there is nothing that will get rid of stretch marks or tighten sagging skin. Many opt for plastic surgery to remove excess skin.

plastic surgery will take most away. I have heard stretch marks being called shrinkles. I use busby oil. keeping your skin misturised will help. I think when we are obese we need to expect loose skin and shrinkles

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
