Hey everyone I'm 4 days postop and I can't handle the sweetness of everything I've been drinking.. I've tried Gatorade, snapple, pudding, yogurt and Popsicles but it's all too sweet.. I tried broth but it upsets my tummy.. And suggestions would be appreciated!!

I have the same problem. I had my hubby get me some low sodium cream of Tomato Soup. I put a 1/4 cup in a small bowl with 1 TBLS of powdered skim milk in it with just a small bit of Water. Heated it up and it is taking me for ever to eat it. It is a little sweet, but nothing like the shakes. I might also try cream of chicken Soup. Prior to surgery I loved Protein shakes. I am eating the soup very slow, like maybe 1/16 of a tsp at time. Got to make my tiny tummy happy.

I had the exact same problem post surgery - my solution was savory liquids: Tomato Soup, V8, broths, etc. I drank Water only for my hydration. Try things in teeny little bits at different temperatures - that may help you handle the sweetness also. Good luck!

Wyler's Lite Pink Lemonade with unflavored Protein Powder was a lifesaver.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
