barbb3 115 Posted July 11, 2014 I couldn't do the puree thing either. I did some plain greek yogurt with stirred in canned (no sugar added) fruit for Breakfast. My top and favorite meal was canned chicken with broth and steamed carrots and green Beans. It is kind of a Soup. The canned chicken was easier on me then rotisserie chicken and less waste. One can of chicken made 3-4 meals so I made some @ twice a week. There are lots of variations you could do. I always have unsweetened applesauce and of course SF popsicles. Good luck to you! Chelly 364 Posted July 11, 2014 If your not going to follow what your surgeon and nutritionist planned out for you then why bother. They do that so your body heals meaning your new stomach properly. You could do real damage if you don't follow the stages of eating as laid out for you. I know I'm being harsh but I really don't want you to have any problems if they can be avoided. pookybear 284 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) I didn't puree anything. I picked things that were already soft enough for me...yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, eggs, hummus, etc. I was never told I should puree anything. I was told as long as I could chew it enough where it could pass through a straw then it was fine. I ate a lot of ground turkey with Tomato sauce. It was pretty much my go-to meal. Also Wendy's chili. Edited July 11, 2014 by pookybear
