Najah 21 Posted July 11, 2014 Salaamu Alaikum, My name is Najah. I'm a recent revert to Islam and this is my first Ramadan, MashAllah. My surgery is scheduled for the 30th, which is the day after Eid. Since I have been fasting in observation of this special month, I haven't been able to get in as much exercise or as many calories at night as I would've liked. For those brothers or sisters who had the sleeve surgery, should I cut back on fasting a week or two before my surgery date to eat during the day or do you think it will be okay to eat at night. The nutritionist I went to said it would be fine to observe fasting, but what I'm concerned about is the nutrition goals prior to surgery. Is it okay to not be able to work out that much and/or eat during the day? What has been your experience getting the sleeve and what has your Imams said about it? Inshallah, everything will go well. Sincerely, Najah 1 Tisa reacted to this
