Hi there Mine is Dr Ben Teague from Ashford (Adelaide) http://www.ashfordsurgicalobesitycentre.com.au/ They are fantastic, but because I have sleep apnea and a few other medical issues, they wanted me to lose abit before I go in for I go under. Where are you having yours?

Hi Helen, I'm in Adelaide, scheduled in for surgery on the 2 sept, feeling nervous but I've not got to do any post diet, good to share the journey :) julie

@@HalloweenBaby24 I'm somewhat nervous but I'm so ready to start this new healthy part in my life. What time is your surgery that day(sept8)? My surgery will be at 10am.

Had my last series of test and meetings today... 5 hours! Got my appt time... Have to arrive 5:30am on 9/10. Five more days till liquid diet. Ack.

Hello!!! My surgery is scheduled

For sept 4th!!! So excited but getting nervous! I stayed my liquids yesterday... And have pre op on the 26 th!! Good luck everyone!

Started my journey May 14th and my surgery is scheduled for September 8th.

Hi there I would love to connect. I too have my sleeve surgery on the 8th of September.

I'm scheduled for September 10 check in at 6 a.m. start my liquid diet on August 27th but starting it a little ahead of time with just having one meal a day. Going to the gym too. Looking for a buddy to go through this journey.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
