julez 32 Posted August 17, 2014 My surgery is the 25 of august also, this is my second date as the first one July 14 someone between the Drs and health ins dropped the ball. I just finished up day 2 of my liquid diet, I must say this time ( did 12 days of it before) is the hardest. I am so afraid that something will come up and I will have yet another set back. Wicked-Storm 6 Posted August 17, 2014 It is the beginning of 2nd full day at home. I am napping often - trying to catch up on lost sleep but it sure feels great to be home. My mom came over yesterday and fixed my some puréed food
Wicked-Storm 6 Posted August 17, 2014 Non blonde moment - hit send too soon. I am very sore and very bruised. Going to hit Walmart today to get some walking in - too hot to walk outside. I know this surgery will help me reach my goals but I am the key to making it work. I am sure each day will get better. You are in my thoughts and prayers for those getting ready for surgery and continued healing and success for those who are post op.

Boppin' Bubbe 32 Posted August 18, 2014 Take a step back, is it gas pain or real pain from the surgery? Hello, I had my rny gastric bypass on 8/14/14. I'm lost in pain right now. I don't have a support group. I would love some guidance. Is it better today? Try heating pad on your back and shoulder if it's pain from the gas. Keep walking. Follow your docs instructions and if it's bad call the ofc!
hcabrooks197 20 Posted August 18, 2014 My surgery is August 25. I started my two week shakes this past Monday and threw it up violently. I was on it 3 days before my nut took me off. I am having to to south beach now. What is everyone's opinion on 2-3 days before surgery if I try the shakes again throwing up or not? I just don't want them to not do the surgery because my liver is too big.

Wicked-Storm 6 Posted August 20, 2014 I am one week post op. I am feeling pretty good but still have pain. I have a bruise the size a pancake on my left side. Not sure what it is from but it is there. I start meds for my gallbladder to prevent gallstones. Please do not think you will get any rest in the hospital - I got zero sleep. I begged to go home so I could at least get sleep. Just keep focused on why you are going through the procedure. Aren't moms the greatest - my mom came and purée food for me too. I know this sounds funny but I feel like I don't have a stomach. It does not feel empty nor does it feel full. I am trying to follow the guideline I was given on when I should do what. It is just weird. Good luck to all those soon having surgery - you will do great.
