I have many friends offering me help either before or after surgery. What would be some ideas to give them? I would love to take people up on their offers.

I had lifting restrictions - so help with groceries, carrying a big bag of dogfood etc might help.

For me, I kinda wanted to be a little bit alone during the early weeks post op to get used to the restriction; those early weeks were hard from a food/drinking perspective.
