Hey fellow Sleevers!!

I just got my date...Drum roll please...July 24th!!! This was so unexpected when I went in for my post endoscopy today. I was expecting a phone call in a week or so, to go there and get the approval immediately was such a shock. I was so thrilled, I didn't know how to respond for a minute. I have a little bounce in my step now and I am so happy!!!!!! :D

Anyone else out there getting their sleeve on July 24th?

Yes! I am July 24th also. I just started my liquid pre-op diet today. I'm starving and can't wait for July 24th to be here already!

I'm July 24th too, glad to find more people with this date. My doctor doesn't require a pre-op diet but I'm going to start shakes for Breakfast and lunch tomorrow and then do all liquid 2 days prior to surgery. I've been having so many food funerals I need to do it to get ready for the big change in eating!

Hello, my surgery is also scheduled on July 24. I just started the pre-op liquid diet yesterday, and it has been difficult, but not impossible. I can't wait until I can actually be around other people eating food! Can't wait to have the surgery!

I am having surgery on the 24 as well. So many emotions. Pre-op diet is not as impossible as I thought it would be but I am not following it perfectly, but not binging either. Good luck everybody!

I feel off the non-required pre-op wagon this weekend. Back on it today. Can't believe it's only 9 days away!

Hey all, 2 more days! Is the excitement building yet? I'm just ready to have it done. Waiting is the worst.

I know what you mean, my days at work have been dragging! My 13 year old son tells me all the time that I'm impatient so this is really torturing me, lol.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
