kellymeansWAR 1 Posted July 11, 2014 So I just had my sleeve on 7/9/14 and am considered 2 days post-op. I've been experiencing sharp gas pains that come and go, body aches, and 2 incisions that held my drain an the other one which contained the most work. I'm having issues drinking for I haven't felt hungry at all. Ready for this swelling to go down. Trying to look forward to the better healthier future... Just ready for this first week to me over. Tomorrow I start adding puréed foods to my diet and am fairly concerned.

discmin 2 Posted July 11, 2014 Hi! I was sleeved on July 1 in puerto vallarta mexico as a self pay. At the time of surgery, my BMI was. 34.86. I'm short (5.0) and carry my weight in the mid section. I am happy to report that I had zero complications from surgery. I woke up, walked around, and felt pretty good. I spent additional days in PV and was able to do a lot of walking with my family with no problems at all. I started full liquids today and had cream of broccoli Soup which was yummy. I also started my Premier Protein shakes.< /p> I'm having mine done in Tijuana Mexico on the 17th! Happy to hear you had a good experience :-)

discmin 2 Posted July 11, 2014
Independence day will mean more to me than just fireworks. I celebrated my personal Independence, hence the name rebirth7414. I had my surgery in Tijuana Mexico on July 4th. I was so nervous about going out of the country. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. I'm a week out today and still on liquids. I went in grocery store yesterday to get some things first time I ever walked through and didn't have a desire for stuff of course bad stuff. I bought frozen fruit to make smoothies. I am ready to start working out but I know my body isn't. My stomach is still sore swelling is going down. In a few months I will be looking at a new person in the mirror. I cant wait to meet her!
I'm having mine in Tijuana on the 17th! I'm excited :-) Gratz to you!
SMED0308 47 Posted July 11, 2014 I'm in a lot of pain.. I keep wanting to throw up.. Can barely keep Water down.. Calling my Dr this morning.. I'm so so sorry. I hope they can get you something to soothe your sleeve. The teeny bit of nausea I had was MISERABLE. Will keep you in my prayers.
Bridget1103 12 Posted July 12, 2014 Sleeved on the 9th-so far I'm getting most of the liquids in. Only Water, a premiere Protein and broth. Got on the treadmill twice and did 3 min each time-very slowly. Still feel very bloated.
daniellefay 3 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm scheduled for surgery on July 22nd. This thread is great! It is so comforting reading about everyone's experiences. I'm scared, excited, and hopeful that this tool will enable me to lead a healthy lifestyle at a normal weight. 1 MistyAnnMoon829 reacted to this

erinwix 2 Posted July 12, 2014 Hey there ! Just had my sleeve this past Monday (July 7th) feeling glad that's it's all over but i am still sore and having some anxiety. It's just that I am such a food lover , and even though I'm not hungry I'm already thinking about what food I'm gonna have when I can actually eat again ( which is obviously contradicting the whole point of my surgery ) anyone have any advice ? Now that I know it's permanent I'm just getting some jitters ! I have a long journey still ahead of me ! 1 lsirmon reacted to this

SMED0308 47 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm in a lot of pain.. I keep wanting to throw up.. Can barely keep Water down.. Calling my Dr this morning.. Just checking in to see how you are doing. Hope the nausea is gone. I know it has to be horrible. Everything is so tender the first week. I'm finally able to sleep on my side and even my belly with only light discomfort. I'm craving the broth, and have been losing about a pound a day. Hope that keeps up for many months.
