finediva 979 Posted August 23, 2014 Absolutely! I was sleeved on 7/22 & I get lots of rumbling loud gurgling noises that come from my throat. I thought maybe if was an result of hernia repair. I was sleeved on 7/18. I gurgle all day long. It is loud. My teenager son hears it and gives me weird looks. I am annoyed by the noises and feel embarrassed to be around people. It feels like bubbles that are trapped in my throat. I wish I could just burp them out, but it is now not so easy to burp. Urgh....

You are probably right, I too had a hernia repair and my dr said he had to go extra tight because of that. Thanks:)
ladymist 1 Posted August 23, 2014 I was sleeved July 1st so I am 7 weeks out and I have to eat soooo slowly and even then I only eat maybe a 1/4 cup has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks
tomi89 7 Posted August 23, 2014 I am about 7 weeks out and I am finding I feel satisfied when I take in about 900 calories a day when I workout and about 700-800 when I don't work out. I've perused around other boards and found some folks still eating only 600 calories at this point. My appetite is definitely different than pre-op but I feel like a pig compared to those other folks. I track everything that goes in my mouth to ensure I meet the Protein and Water goals but I am also careful with fat and carbs. Anyone else feel like try need to get in a bit more to be satisfied? Maybe my anxiety is getting the best of me. Date sleeved: 7/14/14 HW: 265 Day of Surgery: 244 CW: 220 Goal: 125-130 @ 5'3"
finediva 979 Posted August 23, 2014 I'm 5 weeks out today. I struggle on a daily basis to get 64 ounces of Water in. I'm getting my Protein, but only about 5 glasses of water..on a good day. I definitely get 4 and push for 5. I'm still drinking at ten at night. I also drink 2 glasses of skim milk. It's on my plan and I use it to make my shakes. No, I'm not dehydrated. My urine is very clear. I never drank 8 glasses before surgery, but ate lots of water based fruits. Grapes, melons and grapefruits. Anyone not getting the recommended 64 ounces and still able to lose?

Are you counting your shakes? If not maybe you should call and ask?

Jordan861 124 Posted August 24, 2014 I had surgery July 9 ,2014 I have lost 28 pounds since, I been walking and doing strength training, I feel like it been so slow for me compared to other ppl, do you guys have any suggestions? Just keep doing what your doctor has told you. This journey is a marathon not a sprint race. I watch other peoples tickers also and compare. I was stuck up till yesterday for about a week at the same weight. Remember we are all different, age, medical conditions, and medications. Each one of these factors play into the weight loss. Just keep on keeping on, you will do great.

NavyMom6 28 Posted August 24, 2014 You are doing really great getting all your Water and Protein in.. Just keep doing what you are doing.. The weight will start to come off, sometimes fast, sometimes slow.. But you will start to see inches disappear.. I think you are getting the right amount of calories in.. When you start to exercise you might want to bump up the calories if you can.. Good Luck in your Journey!
mick 99 Posted August 24, 2014 I have a question: I'm ending my 4th week post op since I was sleeved but does anyone have the same thing where you eat or drink something and your stomach starts to make loud noises or your throat? I have not had this problem at all. Sometimes late at night when I am laying in bed my stomach makes growling noise like it used to when i was hungry. I am 4 wks post-op also. Have you been tracking with my fitness pal? It helps you get the right amount of Protein and stuff. Strength training can make you gain muscle too which could explain slower weight lose. I also vary my calorie intake; I try to change it up every once in awhile so my body does not get into starvation mode or too used to certain eating habits. It seems to be working for me!
