brians34 31 Posted July 8, 2014 I am still waiting for insurance clearance, but I was wondering if you have surgery scars or if everything healed up completely.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted July 8, 2014 At six months out, mine have faded fairly well and just look like old bruises. I have had larascopic surgeries for other reasons, and the scars are minute and faded to white on my already paleface skin. You have to know where they are to see them. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
mt_hi_liner 21 Posted July 8, 2014 I had surgery on 6/19/14 and 4 of the 5 look like scratches. I don't think they will scar hardly at all. The one on the side is a little puckered and may leave a mark. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
mt_hi_liner 21 Posted July 8, 2014 I'm waiting to be able to complain about loose skin!!
par1959 470 Posted July 8, 2014 Almost 6 weeks out and sure the scares are visible, but not really noticeable unless your looking. The longest one is 3/4 of an inch. For me I go with the theory that chicks dig scares. It works for my rugby playing kids.
getnhealthyintx 281 Posted July 8, 2014 I am eight weeks out as of yesterday and three of my five scars are still totally visible and red but two of the five you have to look to find them I guess it's just the way we allheal everybody's going Heal differently. 2 fat_free and BeagleLover reacted to this
JeffA70 200 Posted July 15, 2014 I am still waiting for insurance clearance, but I was wondering if you have surgery scars or if everything healed up completely. 18+ months out and I can still see my scars, especially the one that's highest. I think the rest appear like bruises, but I know what they are. I've been waiting to tell people that they're from when I was shivved in prison, but no one's asked. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
fat_free 463 Posted July 15, 2014 I am 2 months out and the last of my scars finally has no scab left. They are all fairly red though (not infected-just red scars). However, I had gallbladder surgery 15 years ago with scars in close to the same spot. They are very hard to see and have been that way since probably 18months to two years out from that surgery. The VSG scars are so small that they honestly will not be big deals at all.
kd5wzr 108 Posted July 18, 2014 For me I go with the theory that chicks dig scares. I think you meant "chicks dig scars." If they liked scary things, I wouldn't have to have this surgery. lol
