Jenuine629 24 Posted July 8, 2014 What were some of the foods you are when you were finally allowed solid foods? I have been given the ok to have solids by my surgeon. Also been having some nausea & vomiting issues ( which MD is aware of). I'm taking it day by day and very slowly. Just wanted to get some ideas of what you all started eating. Thanks! Susan-031314 179 Posted July 8, 2014 I know there are other causes of nausea, but my only problem was when I was transitioning into solids and I thought I could have solids in Soup. I found that I was eating way too much in volume than my teeny tiny tummy could handle, not to mention, some were pretty rich. I went to basics and followed the 30 min before and 30 min after eating rule for liquids. As to what to eat? Experiment. My Fitness Pal has been a great tool once I was on solids. Protein first, then a veggie, then and only if there is room, starch/sweet. There has not been a food that I cannot eat, but the quantity is very small, to that end, I really have to focus on my protein. chicken, eggs, fish, beef and lean pork. cheese and deli meats are my quick go to. 2 Terribj and Jenuine629 reacted to this
