Starting to get headaches again

Recommended Posts

Well I had my surgery on 7/3, came home on 7/5 and been doing great today out of know where I got a headache which won't go away, I've been getting all my Protein and Fluid in I really don't know what this is about. Have any one experience a headache out of know where, did it go away or what did you do to get rid of it?

I just did a search for headaches and saw this. I suffered from Migraines before surgery. I am just a little over 3 months out. After surgery, I did not have any migraines at all until this week. I have had one every afternoon this week. It is really cramping my style!!!! Anyway, my husband suggested I check here to see if anyone else had a problem like this. I thought it might be allergies, but I take antihistamines everyday for chronic eczema, so I can't figure out why that could be it. I also have been on point, or slightly behind, on Water intake. I have not exercised for the last three days due to the headaches. I don't drink caffeine. I quit after surgery and had no headaches. I average between 500 & 600 calories a day. No sugar.

Has anyone had this issue? Any ideas? I am afraid I am doing something wrong to cause this. Any help would be appreciated. :)

I used to get Migraines. I was on daily meds to prevent them. (I'd still get a doozy when Flo showed up.) But I've been off it since surgery.

I do get some headaches. Usually ibuprofen takes them down. I have taken a pain pill twice hoping it would be gone in the morning, and that worked.

I prefer this approach over being on topiramate.

I do drink Decaf coffee & tea and sometimes have Chike coffee Protein powder. So I do get some caffeine, but very little.

I barely get 64oz of my Water in. Some days it 6 cups and not 8. So I've wondered if I need more when this happens.

Since the dr used to think my migraines were hormonal, I'm guessing that the hormones we are dumping could also be causing them.
