Countdown to Onederland!

Recommended Posts

Linda, funny you should post that. I have signed up to run a 5k and I just finished my 3.2 miles on the treadmill. I am fixing to eat some edamame, and my scales said 198.0 this morning. I am celebrating a little differently this time!! BTW, this may be TMI, but I feel so attractive today...maybe even sexy. LOL DH is giving me "the look" again. Our 13th anniversary is Monday. I dare say it will be the best one in several years.

Renewed that is great news!!! I am also a pretty darn happy camper this morning! I woke up and weighed in at 199.4!!!!!!!!! The first time in 15 years I have been under 200! I couldn't wait to finally post on here!

Congrats to all of you for making it to Onederland! I am currently stuck just a few pounds away...it was my TOM last week so I was up 1-2 lbs; I'm very consistent with sticking to my diet, so I know it's not my eating. I've been out walking in this beautiful weather and did some raking over the weekend too. I'm hopeful that this week I'll get back to some progress! I really can't wait to see that number on the scale!

Is it too early to join you?

I was banded in July of last year and I would like to try and be in onederland by my bandiversary. So, that is 2.5 months away...

I'm currently at 237lbs....what do you think? Probably not possible, but I am going to give it everything I have. What an amazing accomplishment that would be...so...38lbs to get there...divided by 2.5 months...approx 10 weeks...means a loss of 3 lbs per week (plus two)...that way sounds like it is doable.

I started at 338 and and just reached 100lbs down after 9.5 months....

I love this band!!!

So...can I join you?

Rain

I feel like I'm getting out of the barely in onederland stage. You know, where each morning you hope that you haven't added Water weight or TOM comes and you're back over 200. Now that I'm at 193 I think I have finally kissed the 200's goodby. What a onederful feeling!!

renewed hope:

I got so excited when I hit Onederland and since then I've been see-sawing back and forth 199, 200, 199, 200. I'm hoping that I can push it down to 197 so that I don't kick back up to 200 ever again.

Congratulations on 193. I'm jealous.:wink2:

Rainer:

I've seen your full pics on the before & after thread. I would have sworn that you were under 200 already.

You look great.

You'll be there before you know it.

Take care.

Sue

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
