AshleyG2014 2 Posted July 6, 2014 I'm worried I won't get approved because my BMI is 38.2 and I read where they want your BMI to be at least 40 for the surgery unless you have other medical afflictions. I am 21 and 5'10" at 266 lbs. I also have high cholesterol and bad lower back pain as well as acid reflux. Was anyone else concerned they would not be approved because they did not meet the criteria? 1 Trudycarle reacted to this
Pixers 26 Posted July 6, 2014 Have you gone to a seminar? If not go to one! Talk to the surgeon he or she would know if you would be approved or not. I had a low 40 BMI. I had to make sure I didn't lose weight on my 6 month diet but I was approved by my insurance!
AshleyG2014 2 Posted July 6, 2014 I go to my seminar on July 15th, my friend had it done & she was in the 250 range but needed it because of a heart condition. I guess they will put my mind at ease at the seminar 1 prettyricki reacted to this
