Macmama38 0 Posted April 24, 2007 I was banded on 3/19/07, so far I have only lost 14 pounds. I am somewhat depressed, because I wanted to lose more at a faster rate. Because I have a real addiction to food, I have eaten a few unauthorized items. Can I get some suggestions and words of encouragement.
Phatty 0 Posted April 24, 2007 I lost very little in my first month where as alot of people lost it fast and furious within the first month but come 2 months later and I started losing it faster.. I know it's hard to not have weight loss expectations but remember your body is just getting use to your band, Slow and stready wins the race.. And hey you have weight loss since surgery you should be excited with that;) Chin up matey try not to be so hard on yourself
lynners 0 Posted April 24, 2007 itsonly been a little over a month since you have had surgery. You should be concentrating more on healing than weight loss. I know it's difficult. I've been there. look at this as a time to get your band secured into place, not a time to lose weight. For me it was a constant struggle to follow the bandster rules in rules in the begining it really does get easier. After a fill or two or three.... it gets easier and easier. I have been banded a little less than 7 months and have lost 52 pounds. I prefer to have slower weight loss than many people. I like my band a little looser. Give it some time, follow the rules, and the weight will come off.
