Wo really? I think that's amazing and you should remove the only.

You can't compare yourself to others.

I hope in 6 months I can say I've lost 60 pounds

I try to walk every day and am 10 days post op.

I started puréed this week and needle has not moved. I expected this. Just a little sad though

Hope I am at 60 by 6 months

60 pounds is quite an achievement! If you are concerned you are eating too much, log and weight what you do eat and see if it totals what has been recommended by your NUT. Exercise will also help.

First, 60 lbs is amazing regardless of how long it took to lose it. Second, eating a few bites every hour could lead to overeating. I suggest using a calorie tracker (myfitnesspal). And, exercise. Everyday. Start with walking and then find something else you enjoy- swimming, hiking, running, cycling, fitness classes, etc. You're going to have to make some changes if you want the weight to keep dropping. The surgery has done it's job if you've lost 60lbs and only eat a few bites at a time, but now you need to do your part.

Wow ! 60 lbs., that is great !!!!!!!! Don't be hard on yourself and congrats. Exercise is key, try to walk briskly every day, if not, do every other day. Walking saves me, and has so many benefits. You will see the scales move with additional exercise of any kind..... Good luck.

I am 10 months out and I have lost 82 pounds...so, not much more than you! It's just a process. I will hopefully be very close to goal by my 1 year surgiversary and hopefully you will be to. I just have to remind myself that it's a marathon and not a sprint and everyday you get closer to the new person that you're going to become! Good luck!

60 lbs in 6 months is 10 lbs a month so about 2.5 lbs a week. That's not bad at all. I would try not to compare yourself to other people, and just know that (in a very, very short period of time) you will reach goal and look great.

60 lbs! That's 10 lbs a month. In all my years of dieting and with weight watchers I never managed that consistency. Our sleeves our doing their job as a tool to help us lose the weight at a healthy rate. You are rockin' this. Keep up the great work

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
