Puppypaws57 137 Posted July 3, 2014 I feel so BIG. I look at my pants (18W) and think - can I really be that big? When I was 252 the size of my clothes didn't seem to bother me, but now I look at my clothes which I couldn't wear before and am apalled at the size I am wearing. Does anyone else feel like this? My clothes even fit better before. It is like they were made for big women, now shirts are too big in the wrong places. Everything just fits odd. Thanks, Terry
SandyM 1,956 Posted July 3, 2014 Maybe it's just that you are no longer in denial. 70 lbs is wonderful and those sizes will shrink faster than you know. 1 2muchfun reacted to this

betty_s 476 Posted July 3, 2014 I can understand where you are coming from. At 303 lbs, I just wanted to make sure everything was covered. Now, 40 lbs down, my clothes I currently have are either too big or too small. Its frustrating because you want to feel confident with your new weight loss, but its hard to when clothes dont fit like they should. Keep up the good work!! You're doing AMAZING. 1 Puppypaws57 reacted to this
HealthyNewMe 1,935 Posted July 3, 2014 I think many overweight people, including myself in this, have body image issues. I didn't really want to see myself for what I looked like when I was 327 pounds........ I would look in the mirror only at my face to see how my hair and makeup looked. Now, when I look in the mirror, I am only looking at my body, and can't seem to wrap my brain around it. I swear that I look in the mirror the last thing I do before going to bed at night and the first thing I do when waking up in the morning..... not bc I'm getting vain, but bc it's like I''m scared that I might have somehow ballooned back up to my old self......... my brain still hasn't caught up with the weight loss. 1 Puppypaws57 reacted to this

Yes, it is hard to find clothes when you are bigger and I was just glad to find ANYTHING that fit.
dawalsh 919 Posted July 10, 2014 I used to go to stores that only carried plus size clothes . I 'd look at catalogs and if they didn't carry plus size clothes I recycled them immediately. Now I'm in a pickle because everything just hangs on me. I'm in between sizes as well. Sometimes I can wear a 16, other times it's an 18. I used to buy the clothes and try them on at home when I was in plus sizes. Now I have to try everything on. It is so frustrating but in a good way! Congratulations on your awesome weight loss! 1 Puppypaws57 reacted to this
