I researched to see if this has been asked at all recently I didn't find anything so...how has your show size changed since you've lost weight?

Did anything stay the same, go down, or for example go from a size 10w to a regular 10?

I have a couple pairs of drop dead gorgeous heels and I was wondering if they would still fit me after I've lost weight.

Thanks for your input!

I just bought new shoes yesterday and went from an 8 1/2 wide to a 7 regular.

My shoe size has gone from a wide to a medium. I had to get rid of last summer's sandals because they were flipping right off my feet. But you should see the gorgeous new ones I bought! I'm buying clothes at Goodwill still, so I can't feel guilty buying great shoes!

I've gone from an 11 to a 10-10 1/2 and lost some width in the process. Most boots and shoes that tie have been okay with the addition of insoles and or thick socks, but flats, sandals, slip ons... I've had to dump some of them as I was literally walking right out of them. Good news for me is, 10 is where most of the cute shoes stop, so I have a lot more choices now!

I have two pairs of shoes that are now just too big for me. They were 6.5W, but I haven't been shoe shopping so not sure what I am now. I went to wearing snickers for now. I just don't want to spend the money. I already had to buy new bras!

I'm a super weird show size right now, I fit anywhere from a 10 (sneakers) to an 11W (all other shoes!), which makes it difficult to find new AND cute shoes. I'm definitely looking forward to the possibility of shrinking down to a normal size 10 shoe, the selection is definitely better. Guess someone else will get to take advantage of my barely worn but lovely shoes.

I think as frugal as we are in other areas of our life we all deserve a splurge and why not on our feet? :)

I actually look forward to losing a size or two on my feet. I have shoes that I bought a year or two ago that were borderline tight when I bought them (silly me spending that much on shoes thinking they would stretch or break in. They didn't). I'll be happy if I can just fit into them comfortably (they're both hiking shoes. I haven't bought heels or flats in YEARS because I just didn't dress nicely enough to warrant it. My Vibrams are the only expensive shoes I own)

I'm looking forward to buying cute shoes (and cute outfits to go with them)

I was told by others in my in person support group that your feet will shrink both width and actual size. On average, went from Wide to Medium and then lost either a half or whole size with a weight loss around 100lbs.

I personally was into 10 double wides, which is a special order only not available in stores, so I was particularly looking forward to shopping in the medium section and actually buying "off the rack."

I am NOT complaining about this, but my feet are shrinking? I was a 10. Now? Maybe a 9 1/2. So weird to me. Meanwhile my feet are flopping around in the super cute shoes I had from before. Go figure.

I am really, really hoping this happens to me! If I could lose a size, it would take me from a freakishly-large-only-available-online-or-in-crossdresser-stores size 13 to a size 12 which is at least a size that actually exists.

I have yet to notice smaller feet. I'm still a 9. Smaller fingers sure, but not smaller feet. My size 7 wedding band and engagement ring don't stay on my left hand anymore. I have to wear them on my right hand (which is also smaller but not as small since one's dominant hand is usually larger anyhow).

I remember when I once lost 100 pounds my feet may have been the same length but they were thinner and I fit into nicer shoes :-)

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
