How soon after surgery did you get the OK to drink Protein shakes/optifast? I was sleeved on Thursday and my doc said I could go ahead with the shakes.

They gave me Protein the next day and i have been drinking them since...im almost 3 mo

I was sleeved 5/12/14 & started back on Protein when I got home 2 days later. I did not have any issues with this. I was on liquids for 2 weeks & needed the Protein Shakes to get in the 60 grams each day. I'm amazed at the different opinions each surgeon & NUTs have as to what you can eat & for how long.
