When we are 3-4 months out an on real food is it not recommended that we ever eat Soup again? Isn't this considered a slider food? I guess I don't understand if we can have it, then what's the difference between drinking while eating or eating soup? Anyone else have these thoughtS?

My surgeon told me Soup shouldn't be a go to food, but it can be a good option at a restaurant or something if it's a healthy soup. He didn't give me an exact number, but I think once or twice a month, soup is ok.

My surgeon doesn't want his patients eating Soup ever again, because of the "drinking while you eat" issue. He seems to be a bit of an outlier with that though!

Same with mine. Was told unless it's thick like a stew to try to avoid.

I eat Soup once or twice/ week. They make super yummy homemade Soups at the corner deli. A 12 oz container lasts me 3 meals. So what if it's out of my tummy faster because of the "not drinking when eating thing"?! No one is forcing me to eat more than 1/2 cup at a time. It tastes good, it's good for me, and I didn't have to cook it. Win win win.

I agree with @Kindle. If it's a healthy Soup that's not full of cream, salt and artificial ickiness, I don't see the problem. Plus, it counts towards our liquid goals.
