Your title says "72" pounds, when your note says "22". Just an observation.

Thanks for editing your ticker or something.

Personally, I find that (I'll just say) "most extraordinary"--72 pounds in 3 months; and a woman...? But, if so, hey. Kudos.

I didn't say you edited it because I asked you to; I simply thanked you for doing so. In fact, I didn't ask you to do anything; I simply made an observation.

And I said "kudos" to you, that means "congratulations; good for you."

The nastiness of people online is so unnecessary and misplaced. We live in sad times.

Dr-Patient, for what it's worth, I think most of us followed you. Luckily, it's been my experience that posts and responses like the OP's are scarce on here. Someone seems to have forgotten we are all here to get help and support each other. I'm going to do my best to ignore the nastiness at this point.

Congrats and good job. I've been losing very quickly as well (at 3 months I was down 75 lbs, now at almost 4 months out I am down 90). Keep up the good work.

I agree. I don't live online, and this--BariatricPal--is the only board I am on because I do feel that most people here are here to support each other. I call those who seemingly overreact for no reason "rhetorical agitators": they bark for no reason, and also react before simply reading and understanding what was written. Like you, I just ignore that energy. Don't have time :-).

Thank you for your post. :-)

And I was just saying nicely. No1 was being nasty. But the way it came off to me as if u had a problem with my post. So then I replied. If I was being nasty I would have been rude insted of saying kindly move on to the next post. Alot of misinterpretation happen through texting, and comments ect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
