MOLLSY 17 Posted June 27, 2014 Hi everyone. Got some very random replies when I posted this last time. Just wondered how everyone is doing over here in Blighty. Any new people joined, if so hope you are all doing really well.
lblondon 34 Posted June 27, 2014 Hey, I think we were sleeved around the same time? Have to say things are getting better and better, although I am struggling a little with find alternative menus, as unlike out American cousins I don't want to become "born again" about food - in some way I think it's a little like replacing overheating with another form of fixation. Am managing to drink very well, some times get a little dehydrated but have noticed my fingertips go a little wrinkly if not fully hydrated so easy signal. I definitely don't think I'm eating enough, but as I don't feel hungry yet this isn't a major issue, how's the food intake working for you and what are you eating? MOLLSY 17 Posted June 29, 2014 Hi IN London funny you should ask about food tonight............... I have just eaten an entire pot of Rachel's gooseberry yogurt. I feel like I am going to explore. First time I have cheated but it was so lovely. Anywho I am doing OK about 27lbs down from mid May. I have no doubt that this is the right thing for me. I just want to be slimmer all at once!!!!! The post opening thing definitely seems much more laid back over here. I was just sent home with a diet sheet and a 6 weeks appt. The USA people seem to be having appointments all the time. How has your post op experience been? Sounds like you are doing really well. It's good to talk to someone close to home.

lblondon 34 Posted June 30, 2014 Am 38lbs down since early May, so doing very well, seem to stop around my periods but no longer have that crazy food thing the week before so long may that continue. Post op have had one brief appointment and keep having the 6 week rescheduled due to work. Do you mean one of the big Rachel yoghurt pots - not sure i could manage that in one go, other than Soup struggle to manage more than a couple of dessert spoons at a time. Have you moved onto puréed more solid foods yet? I'm starting week 8 post op this week, so thinking I should be managing more? Totally get the I want to be thin now, but lets not forget how long it took us to get here......
MOLLSY 17 Posted July 1, 2014 Hello Lblondon. Hope all is good with you. Yes it was a biggish pot of yogurt, but when I thought about it I had actually that had it over the course of a day. It was divine. Anywho I do seem to be able to eat more of some things than others. Yogurt, cottage cheese, sugar free jelly etc slip down very easily. I do worry sometimes that I'm having too much, but trying to keep around 800 cals a day. I am quite stressed tonight due to my husband's ill health problems, I have to look after him 24/7. Normally I would be cheating like mad, but not today - so something is working. I have no regrets about this surgery, just hope I don't screw it up.
lblondon 34 Posted July 2, 2014 I was just jealous that you could have managed it in one sitting, lol I don't really think that you should think of it as cheating, it's yoghurt, just how bad can that be! I don't think you're going to screw it up, you've already made the big commitment and your body simply isn't going to let you from now on, so if you're managing when you're stressed it's just going to get easier, keep your chin up, as my Mum would say x
