GODSON 20 Posted June 27, 2014 I have a question for all experienced sleevers. Im on day 9 post op. Started the puree diet 3 days ago. Im noticing alot of pressure and unpleasant discomfort when I eat. liquids I have no problems with. But purees with just one bite(talf a teaspoon)I start feeling the pressure. I do blend the food to a thick milkshake texture. At one point I thought I was clogged so I took a sip of Water. I notticed I was not full but I keep wondering. Is this feeling a permanent feeling every time I eat? Will I still feel like this months/years out?
moonlitestarbrite 902 Posted June 27, 2014 go back to liquid for a few days. that's one of those "too full" signs. you might need to heal more before you can tolerate purees. it was several weeks for me. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
BigGirlPanties 957 Posted June 27, 2014 yes, I'd say that is probably what's happening... check with your doctor... the pressure is, most likely, from gas... so you need to make sure you are getting in your fluids and walking it off... good luck
GODSON 20 Posted June 27, 2014 Thanks moonlite. My day does consist of 95% liquids 5% purees. I was just following what my doctor told me. Didnt know if I had to do it to train my stomach to support denser foods. Wow full after 1/2 a teaspoon thats crazy. Oh btw I can drink bout half cup of Water no problem. moonlitestarbrite 902 Posted June 27, 2014 make sure you are waiting 30-45 minutes after drinking to eat too.
