I'll be 8 weeks out on Monday. So far, so good! I have lost 32 lbs since surgery and very happy with my WLS! I have increased my walking and activeness after work each day and joining a gym next week! :)

I am almost 9 weeks out.

Doing well. I'm done 48 pounds.

Past couple weeks started struggling with Acid.

In general feeling really good. Workout most days.

Strength training and cardio, noticing a consistent increase in strength and fitness.

It is not effortless but it is doable.

To the newbie above who is having surgery July 14. Its so normal to be scared and "freaked out".

I sure was!! I would do it again in a heartbeat. The first few weeks its a huge adjustment.

But I didn't have much pain, for me it was more just working out what to drink and when and etc...

Good luck to everyone, Stay Strong!!

I'm 9.5 weeks out, down 40 lbs. I went back to work after 5 weeks and started with my trainer two weeks ago.

I'm feeling pretty good. Many parts that were aching before the surgery don't hurt now (back, knees). I'm breathing easier. Theater seats are more comfortable. I didn't expect any of that to true until I'd lost much more weight.

I'm still surprised that I am not hungry all the time, or even some of the time.

The only down-side, for me, is that since the surgery I have been more easily fatigued.

I would do this again, feeling better is a great thing, breathing better is amazing!

I will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. I'm having health issues so my activity is slow going. I've lost 35lbs. Congrats on your progress.

I am 9 weeks post, have lost 28. Still have a hard time trying to drink my 64 oz Water, and most of the time I am not hungry. I read that is ok to have some bites of baked potatoes, then somewhere else I read is not ok, so I get confused.

You can have it but it just takes up space in your belly that should be used for Protein. Carbs leave us qickly but protein gives us the best building blocks for our body. Thats what my surgeon told me when I asked about mashed potatoes.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
