vtobon 0 Posted September 30, 2004 What happens if a fill is too tight? I figured I would eat less and lose more weight. Now, I think I am wrong. Any answers? Personal experiences?
blossom 2 Posted September 30, 2004 Being filled too tight is NOT a good thing!!!! Common results are pain, acid feflux, PB (productive burp), vomiting.....some of these can lead to damaging your esophagus, your pouch and your band. Keep reading this forum and you will find lots of info on this subject.
La_madam 20 Posted September 30, 2004 Veronica being filled too tight is not a good thing. You will do damage to you esphogus. You can risk band erosion. You will experience reflux which does damage. If you are filled to tight you will know it. You will PB on almost anything even Water and you will experience horrible acid reflux/heartburn. Many women here have been filled too tight and had to have some of their fill removed and some have had to have all of their fill removed to heal their esphogous. You do not want to be filled too tight. You will not lose more weight if you are filled too tight, there is a difference between too tight and just right. Be safe with this..
