MammaMac 41 Posted July 6, 2014 My doctors office got me the script for the scar cream at my first post op appt. I have like ten flipping bottles of it! I applied for insure nutrition afterwards & was approved. So all I'm getting from them is the Protein Drinks.< /p> - MM
thenerdie 4 Posted July 6, 2014 I heard this is a scam. Some people's insurance didn't approve it and the person who applied ended up getting billed for it anyway when it was sent to them. They were getting charged for overpriced scar cream with free Protein Shakes and vits. It's considered a fraudulent company. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

rhonda2006 64 Posted July 6, 2014 I've been getting them for several months as well and have not been billed for anything. I saw my surgeon for my 1 year checkup and he was amazed at how much weight I've lost and how well I'm doing. He said he would definetly sign a renewal for me to continue getting the shakes and all. From what I understand when your 6 months is up or about a month before call insure nutrition and let them know you would like to continue getting your product and they will send a renewal script to your doctor and keep it going as long as your insurance approves.i called them and talked to them about it. I personally like the shakes now, I could not drink any of them when I was early out, but your taste do change and what you can tolerate will. Change over time. I try to do at least 1 shake a day to add to what I eat. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
sleevin' it in Jersey 45 Posted July 6, 2014 You may not have been billed but call your insurance company or check your EOB statements and see just how much they are charging your insurance company for the scar cream. And make sure you do not have a maximum cap on meds from your insurance company cuz it can add up really quick! 2 BeagleLover and VSGAnn2014 reacted to this
thenerdie 4 Posted July 6, 2014 I read that some people were charged like 2-4 grand for scar cream which is nuts! This company is very fishy and the fact that they cannot keep up with orders a concern ... Last I knew they ran out of a small store in LA and were considered a fraudulent company dealing with mostly Medicaid insurances... And were yes, considered insurance scam due to the amount they were charging for scar cream . Just sharing my input on the situation.
