TXGALINAR 18 Posted June 26, 2014 I'm 4 weeks post-op (Gastric Sleeve) and have stalled it seems. I've lost 32 lbs since my surgery date of May 23, but can't seem to get below 224. I'm doing everything I know to do and will be sadly disappointed if I did this to only lose 32 lbs. HELP! 1 sotabee reacted to this
SherB 220 Posted June 27, 2014 Hello, You have lost an average of 8 pounds a week! Have you ever done that in your life?? Give yourself a break, that is a huge loss. You may stall for a week or two and then you may drop another 8 pounds. I think it is way too soon for you to be worried. Hang in there! 2 finallyfree101 and BeagleLover reacted to this
McLuvin 2 Posted June 27, 2014 I'm 4 weeks post-op (Gastric Sleeve) and have stalled it seems. I've lost 32 lbs since my surgery date of May 23, but can't seem to get below 224. I'm doing everything I know to do and will be sadly disappointed if I did this to only lose 32 lbs. HELP! I am in the same boat. Today is four weeks and I have lost 27 lbs. I have not lost anything since 6/20. I am trying not to get frustrated and stay on program. I dont intake more than 400 calories and I walk 2 to 4 miles a day. My husband had surgery same day as me and he too has stalled. I say this to say, maybe its par for the course. Hang in there.
Who Dat 70461 331 Posted June 27, 2014 I wouldn't worry, although it sucks, this is just a stall. I went through some weeks with zero loss, only to turn around and have great results the following week. Keep doing what you know to do, i.e. stay active and follow your plan to a tee...the lbs. will drop! By the way, 32 lbs, gone forever, ain't too shabby! Give yourself a little credit! Good luck! britt1511 42 Posted June 27, 2014 I'm almost 4 weeks and have lost 25 pounds and can't get past 224 either. I was getting discouraged tell I read this! 2 finallyfree101 and TrailriderJulia reacted to this
TXGALINAR 18 Posted June 27, 2014 I guess it's a general consensus that you just stall at about the 4th week :-/ 1 TrailriderJulia reacted to this
hrhlaurie 185 Posted June 27, 2014 Today is my 1 month surgery date and stalled at 233 for 6 days. I've just accepted it now, the scale wore me down. They say eventually the stall goes away, so I'm learning patience and sticking to the program. That's all we can do. 1 TrailriderJulia reacted to this
TXGALINAR 18 Posted June 27, 2014 I've read quite a few posts from those who have stalled at this point. I think I'm going to make my husband hide the scale so that I only weigh once a week. I've got myself weighing several times a day and am driving myself insane with it....lol. 3 finallyfree101, chriskre and Who Dat 70461 reacted to this
katesuccess 990 Posted June 27, 2014 I'll add my woe to the voices here today too - I'm 8 weeks out now and have 'only' lost 31 pounds. That's just not near enough! It's going so slowly i can hardly stand it, and my doc's suggestions sound too extreme for me to manage right now. (Two hours a day working out before Breakfast and/or go Paleo diet. Nope!) I never go over 800 calories a day, and always get Water and 60-70 g Protein. I can't believe it's this slow. Really!
TXGALINAR 18 Posted June 27, 2014 That really does sound extreme. Hang in there...we're all in this together, especially when you consider that you've lost, roughly 4lbs a week. That's very good! 1 katesuccess reacted to this
Jersrose43 837 Posted June 27, 2014 If you search some of the other posts on stalls many people break through by changing up their routines. Sometimes it's the food routine sometimes the workout routine. Am just week 1 so hopefully won't have to worry for a little while A lot of posts are around 3/4 week stall
madwife2002 110 Posted June 27, 2014 I stalled at 3 weeks and as I am approaching my 4th I am still stalled-it is frustrating to stall so soon but after reading lots of posts on this web site a 3 week stall is normal. Just gotta push through!
belunos 93 Posted June 27, 2014 They really need to sticky one of these posts. Most people hit stalls pretty early, it seems like good info to put front and center on these forums
wendyt 108 Posted June 27, 2014 I'm 25 days post op, and stalled at 9 days out Only lost 10 pounds since surgery. VERY frustrating! Wishing this stall would break any time now!
