Journey229 15 Posted June 26, 2014 I was sleeved on Tuesday June 24th. Thought I'd be discharged today but I've got to drink 3oz to be discharged. Never thought it would be this hard. Warmer (beverages) are better. Looking forward to my new journey and staying positive!! 2 BeagleLover and #9grammy reacted to this
Krispiekreme 22 Posted June 26, 2014 My sleeve was June 24th. I hope u get home soon! I was surprised how easy it was to just sip liquids, I agree warm liquids are easier. I have pain only if I move around and take too big of a gulp of liquid. Still on pain med but hopefully I will be off of them by this weekend. Good luck to you and hope u get to feeling better soon. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

Poseyrosey 20 Posted June 26, 2014 I was sleeved Tuesday also. So weird only being able to eat a few bites of mellow and having to stop. Came home today and have already taken 2 naps. The pain management is better in the hospital but feels good to go home to my own bed. Take care 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
shahada 82 Posted June 26, 2014 You'll be able to sip down 3 oz in no time At the beginning though, it totally feels impossible. Congrats and good luck!
p-ruck21 8 Posted June 26, 2014 - I was sleeved Monday (the 23rd) Hard to get a lot of liquids in. Takes me all day to drink just one Protein Drink. Question tho! Anyone taking stool softeners in tablet form or just liquid?
mi75 1,235 Posted June 27, 2014 i was sleeved on the 23rd, i am taking my blood pressure pills in pill form but cutting them up with kitchen scissors to VERY small pieces, and also cutting open my Prevacid and pouring the contents right onto my tongue... MRhynard11 41 Posted June 27, 2014 I was sleeved on Tuesday the 24th also. I'm having the hardest time trying to drink my water! Also, I'm worried that I'm eating too much. I just ate a Jello cup and about a 1/2 hour later ate a pudding cup. I feel like I shouldn't be eating that much! I also get so many air bubbles every time I swallow something that it kind of hurts. I'm wondering if that's my new stomach's way of telling me that I'm over doing it?

I've only been able to get a little Water down and like one Protein Shake a day. I was sleeved Monday! But everyone's different, and the bubbles are just has and your body trying to get used to everything.
TXGALINAR 18 Posted June 27, 2014 From the get go, I had no problems taking in liquids and had no issues with taking any of my pill meds. What I sometimes have an issue with is figuring out when I'm full. I'm 5 weeks post op today and have been on regulars foods for about 2 weeks. I only eat about as much as a yogurt cup....sometimes a little more and it's those sometimes that if I bend over at the right time, I immediately feel my food, the overage I guess, wanting to come up. I've been fortunate enough not to actually throw anything up yet, but I don't like that feeling at all.
