It could have been the scrambled eggs; I hear that those usually don't go down well for a few months. I'm 22 days out and I won't be able to try eggs until after July 10th, so I'll find out for myself if my new sleeve can handle them.

eggs. Same thing happened to me. I'm ten weeks out and still can't tolerate them.

Do you mean you ate all those things in one sitting? If so, IMO, that's way too much. I can't really speak from experience since I was on full liquids for four weeks. But when I did start on purees (things like cottage cheese and yogurt) I could not have more than 3 tablespoons of food total for a meal, and meals had to be at least 3 hours apart.

All those foods worked well for me at that point. Try eating slower with smaller bites.

At 4 weeks we both started out with 1 scrambled egg..... or 1/4 cup cottage cheese or 1/2 small yogurt. One of these was a meal. Eat a little bit of Protein, and you might see that it satisfies you. Or stay on your shakes for awhile, sipping slow. Lots of good choices here. Good luck.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
