TimeforTanya 30 Posted June 25, 2014 I had my band placed on the 23rd. My gas is awful. It's in my abdomen, chest, shoulder. Walking makes it worse, fluids make it worse. Only thing that helps is laying down on my side. I'm taking Gasx and mylicon. How long did everyone's gas last for? Any other ideas I can try to ease the pains? I knw my surgeon says walking is best but it just makes my stomach all crampy and not let the gas go anywhere.
chrissy10 159 Posted June 25, 2014 I want to say the bad gas lasted 4 to 5 days. It hurt so bad, and I know it is different with everyone. You will get through this I know you will. Best of luck on your new adventure.

TimeforTanya 30 Posted June 25, 2014 Mine was about 9 days...I just kept trying to walk it off...then turned the heating pad on the worst areas. Did you get pain meds? Yes i got pain meds but don't really want to take them. I did take half a dose just now cuz the pain was too unbearable. Trying to keep my head up and positive thoughts but it ain't easy when the pain is this high. Def still worth it tho.
Junebug36 154 Posted June 25, 2014 The meds will get you through the worst of it. No need to suffer if you don't have to. The first few days are the roughest. It does get better ...just hang in there 1 catfish87 reacted to this
