My Journey 6 Posted June 25, 2014 I'm not in any pain and don't want to bother anyone unnecessarily. I was wondering if any one else had this happen to them?
Butterflyhigh 504 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) I am two weeks post-op and my entire stomach area swells as the day goes on. In the morning it looks normal, by lunch it's much rounder, and by evening I look pregnant. I would classify mine more as bloating rather than swelling. At my doc visit last week they told me it's nothing to worry about as long as there is no pain. Edited June 25, 2014 by Butterflyhigh
jennyinky 38 Posted June 25, 2014 I was just looking this up as well! I'm 2 weeks post op and have little swelling and a general bruised belly feeling. I went back to work yesterday so I think the increased activity makes me notice the bruised feeling more. Otherwise doing well. Some sites at to call your doctor if you have swelling and others say some swelling is normal. Good luck.
My Journey 6 Posted June 25, 2014 Thanks for everyone's advice.... It may just be an enormous amount of gas, I have the heating pad on it right now.
gomekast 559 Posted June 25, 2014 Put a heating pad n the swollen belly. It helps bring the swelling down faster and flushes out all the extra Fluid out a little faster.
