okay ladies so maybe its me but i figured i would throw this topic out and see if anyone can relate. Ever since my surgery right around my period week i have been getting really strange almost weird dreams that leave me in a confused state when i wake up. They are very vivid and i can remember almost all of them like it actually happened in real life. i know they didnt happen tho because they are just too weird for real life. Last night i dreamed that some guy came up to my fiance and cut him in the face with a razor blade so i slapped the guy in the face with a bag full of sauce and meatballs. the night before was my mom and i running this long path with a pool at the end but instead of jumping into the pool we jumped into the air and started flying but then my mom was hit in the face with a goose and she goes "that dang goose bump" then i woke up. and when i wake up i feel so confused and dazed. anyone else going though this or is it just me??

Gosh Mia I don't know what to say about those dreams lol. I have those weird dreams now and I am not post-op yet. I find that I have them when I take Tylenol PM to help me sleep.

Were you or are you diagnosed with sleep apnea? Before I was treated with CPAP, I never dreamed at all -- almost never went into REM sleep. Now, with the machine, I have very vivid dreams frequently. With as much weight as you've lost, even if you weren't diagnosed, you may have had enough apnea to not dream a lot but now you don't have apnea (or as much) and you're dreaming more.

Just an idea.

I'm not sure why it happens but I do think it's got something to do with the weight loss. It affects your body in so many unexpected ways. Maybe it effects you with strange dreams.

For me, when I first started losing weight, I had a lot of trouble falling and staying asleep. I'd wake up at least 10 times a night. It got to the point that I started taking sleeping pills.

Also, as I started losing weight and my "padding", getting into a comfortable position at night became increasingly difficult, especially on my side. It often felt like my bones were poking into the mattress which both hurts and feels weird (kinda like whe you hit your funny bone).

Both of those issues have thankfully settled down. I'm sure the same will happen for you.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
