2.5 years post op - success story with photo collage

Recommended Posts

All these photos were taken WITHOUT Shapewear. After geting to goal, I was able to look pretty good with clever disguising of clothing and shapewear, but I chose photo #2 to show what I really looked like...extra skin showed even with clothes.

My sleeve surgery was Dec 2011 - photo #1 is right before

I got to goal of 158 in Feb 2013 - photo #2 is about 6 months later

I had plastics in Oct 2013 (Dr Sauceda in Mexico - lower body lift, arm lift, breast lift and augmentation and SMALL thigh lift). - Photos 2 show pre plastics.

Photos 3 and 4 were both post plastics and you can see that losing a few pounds made very little difference, it was the getting rid of the skin!post-122684-0-37203100-1403555188_thumb.jpg

U look Amazing! Can I ask what you paid in total for all the cosmetic body repair work. I know I will want everything u had and will need a good referral. Right now I'm just 18 days post op. This inspires and excites me! =)

You look great! Makes me want to think about removing this ab flab later on sometime.

But in your post, the date of your surgery says "2013," but your info says 2011... It's just a typo in the post.

Was the pain from plastics....bearable? I'm kind of a weenie...and still have some time and progress to go before I can consider it. But would probably need lower body lift and upper arm lift to smooth all this out. Is Tummy Tuck part of lower body lift or is that separate?

thanks,sas

A lower body lift is a Tummy Tuck plus flank// butt lift. The best way to research this is on realself . com

i did not experience much pain at all. My surgeon did excellent pain management during first few days and then after that I scarcely needed anything. The hardest part of the recovery is you have to take it really easy for many weeks. And there is exhaustion. Reconstructive plastics is a big deal with an extended recovery. i was off work for 6 weeks and I feel like I needed that.

My arm lift gave me incredible results that changed my whole profile. I am actually very happy with my results.

good luck whatever you decide - but just do alot of research.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
