Carmel Hazelnut Ice Cream - fun with Torani syrups

Recommended Posts

I got my shipment of Torani SF syrups in last week and I'm having so much fun creating yummy stuff. The latest thing is ice cream (ok, it's not particularly creamy but it's delicious). Just made this one...

Muscle Milk Cake Batter Protein powder

Water

Chobani plain Greek yogurt

Carmel Syrup

Hazelnut syrup

Blended together in a Blender Bottle and froze. You kind of have to let it partially thaw or use a fork to scrape off the top, but OMG - YUM!! The gingerbread/cake batter/yogurt ice cream was good too.

I also started blending Syntrax Matrix vanilla, skim milk and the "flavor of the day" to use as frothy Creamer in my coffee. Irish cream and hazelnut are my favs.

Used pumpkin pie syrup to flavor my plain Greek yogurt and sprinkled in a few graham crackers crumbles for a delicious Protein pumpkin pie desert.

Hmmm, wonder what I can make tomorrow?

I use Torani sugar free syrups all the time in my Protein Shakes.< /p>

What you make sounds really good.

Where do you get this Torani Syrup? I think I could handle something when the time comes.

I got mine from Amazon, but I think you can find them at Walmart or any larger store that sells coffee supplies.

Just an FYI: For those of u with a Cash and Carry or Smart and Final nearby (or I'm assuming any restaurant supply store), u'll find a HUGE variety of both Torani and Da Vinci syrups (like an entire aisle). Walmart has like 2 flavors (usually vanilla and hazelnut) as do most other grocery stores. And u can get a big bottle at Cash and Carry for about $3.50. Our last trip there we stocked up and go 15 bottles (ranging from Khalua to Toffee Nut to Almond Joy). Couldn't carry all the flavors I wanted (nor do we have room to store them!)

They're really yummy in plain vanilla Protein shakes..

I've actually seen some strange but interesting flavors at Ross of all places! Definitely check out your local Smart and Final.

dang...I wish we had a cash-n-carry! Awesome deal!!!

I have bought a BUNCH of flavors online as you can't find them in many places... cheaper than MIO or anything like that even if you paid the full price of $7.99 for a large bottle.

Bed, Bath, and Beyond has some Skinny Girl syrups...the pomegrante was good in my iced tea :) ...

Enjoy... they are really helpful in cooking/baking as well as drinking... The World According to Eggface uses them a lot for baking

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
