how much does hair weigh?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if breaking my stall wasn't due to freaking hair loss! I'm shedding. I pulled a shirt out of the dryer. I guess I had brushed my hair before I put it in the wash. The whole shirt was covered in tangled and mangled hair. And it was my hair.

No. I have a friend that cuts off very long hair for wigs and even a thick ponytail does't add to a pound. You've broken your stall with effort!

The hair thing will pass, as long as you keep your calories not ridiculously low and eat a variety of healthy foods. I recommend fresh squeezed juices or vitamix smoothies if you cannot yet hold solid food.

I been taking Biotin since I could start Vitamins after surgery and I lose hair but not as much as if I didn't take it. Plus it helps with nails too.

I cut mine a few weeks ago but alas, no change on the scale from that. I am losing my hair now though. I'm 13 weeks post op with a band. I have super thick hair so I'm hoping it won't be a big deal. I'm only on a daily Multivitamin.

Hair loss here too. Not sure for some of us, no matter what you take, Shampoo with, rub into your hair... It still sheds out! Good luck! (Me too!)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
