wablue31 29 Posted June 21, 2014 Hello everyone! I really expected to be in unbearable pain! My pain stopped as soon as I left the hospital. Only aggravation that I have is the gas in my back moving around and when I swallow but that is getting better (im burping a lot now). I am not really hungry and the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup is delicious! I am just realizing that stressing does not help. This is going to work out for all of us out here guys so keep your head up!! Who else had surgery this week and what are your thoughts on it? 6 Gr8fulMiniMe, ProudGrammy, 2boysmommy and 3 others reacted to this

I'm 4 days out as well. Likewise, my recovery has been pretty smooth. Let's hope things keep going the way they have thus far. Fingers crossed.
thesuse2000 698 Posted June 21, 2014 Happy to hear you're feeling good! I'm four days out too. I went in late Monday. Felt pretty crappy Mon night and Tues (not horrible, but uncomfortable for sure). But by Weds I felt pretty decent and have improved since then. Did a bunch of errands and stuff today and felt pretty normal! And I'm not having trouble getting fluids down like some do. So I feel very lucky! So glad to have all my fears about the surgery behind me! I think as long as I follow the rules in terms of food progression I should be golden. SpecialNewMe 38 Posted June 21, 2014 My surgery was 5/27. I had virtually no pain. My surgery was on Tuesday and back to work on Monday. Your attitude is great! 1 wablue31 reacted to this

Butterflyhigh 504 Posted June 22, 2014 So glad to hear of everyone's easy post-op period! I was a nervous wreck going in to this. I had all of these elaborate plans laid out for how I would take care of myself after surgery. I had very little pain, slept for two days solid, never felt nauseous (except once after eating one bite too many), slept on my sides immediately, can drink Water with relative ease, and have had pretty regular bm's! I had a breast surgery done six years ago and that was 100 times more difficult than this. I do tire easily and have some ugly bruising at one of my incision sites. That's about it. 1 dwnoutintx reacted to this

I'm jealous I can't sleep on my sides and laying on my back for the past few days is making my back injury act up. I keep trying and hope one night I will be able to.
