hayleylamas 74 Posted June 20, 2014 Hey all! My sleeve was Monday June 16th... Highest weight 290 Surgery day weight 263 Current weight 251 So far no complaints! On full liquids and jazzed on how fast it's coming off, trying to mentally prepare for a plateau... When did some of you hit that first plateau? Also how much did you all lose the first month? I just want to see if I'll be a "slow" loser or "fast" loser.... 3 MRhynard11, mrslb5 and jazma reacted to this

hisandhersleeves 19 Posted June 21, 2014 First stall for me was at 3 weeks...it was depressing! I think I'm into stall #2 since I'm at the same weight for almost 3 weeks now (but I'm at 3 months post op)...had a good run, and hopefully this too will pass. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
babish 19 Posted June 21, 2014 I had my surgery may 22 so I am 4 weeks and 2 days out. I hit my first stall at 1 week and 2 days out. I didn't think I was ever gonna start losing again! I was 22 lbs down going into the stall that lasted 2 weeks and 2 days. Since this past Monday ( when I officially starting losing again) I am down 4lbs. I am .2lbs shy of 30lbs total! Not too shabby for 30 days work... Good luck to you!!! 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
BeagleLover 1,020 Posted June 21, 2014 My understanding is that these "stalls" or "plateaus" are evidence of our bodies automatically trying to protect itself from famine. It holds onto the weight as long as it can, then releases it. I KNOW we are excited about losing so much weight and the number on the scale represents "how well we're doing." I would like to see folks not get excited about these *temporary* lapses of evidence of losing the pounds and RELAX... it's gonna happen--- trust the tool. Fullofitx3 146 Posted June 21, 2014 I don't weight myself regularly (last weight-in was a month ago at drs follow up) so not sure if I hit a stall or not, but noticed that clothes were fitting better and I was constantly updating my wardrobe, plus everyday I feel so much better about health and well being and have gained so much self confidence. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
