Patoonces 13 Posted June 20, 2014 so, I'm starting to get sick of the Bariatric Advantage multi flavor. The problem with most of the non-chewables are that they are so huge and the tasty gummies don't have much if any Iron. Anyone know of a good one with plenty of Iron? 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
Chelly 364 Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) My surgeon and nutritionist have me take children's Flinestones complete chewable vitamins.< /p> I take two with a meal. They have Iron in them that is easier to digest. I buy them at costco because that's the best deal but you can find them at Target, Walmart or any pharmacy. Also Celebrate Vitamins has chewable multi Vitamin, they also have calcium citrate chewables and soft chews (I use these). They have B12 that I use. These are just suggestions. InfiniteButterfly 438 Posted June 20, 2014 I second Flintstones. They don't taste too bad, especially compared to the other chewables I've tried. (I'm not allowed gummies at this stage anyway, so I haven't even looked at them.) I can usually find coupons for the Flintstones Vitamins, and they frequently go BOGO at our local grocery, so they're a pretty decent bargain as well. 2 moose18201 and BeagleLover reacted to this
swimbikerun 1,046 Posted June 20, 2014 There is discussion that Iron and Calcium compete with each other. Iron works best with Vitamin C. So maybe something to look into? Also, do you really need the extra iron? 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
sophie'sChoice 269 Posted June 20, 2014 I too am a Flintstones fan. It was suggested by my surgery team. I chew 2 a day. I especially enjoyed them when I was on pure liquid and mushy post-op phases because I got to crunch on something lol 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
swimbikerun 1,046 Posted June 20, 2014 I'd check out about the Flinstones. http://bariatrichelp.wordpress.com/category/vitamins/ No Vitamin K in there, and mine has never registered its so low. I was on them. Good luck!! I hope it does work for you. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

Miss Mac 6,262 Posted June 20, 2014 Mine are Centrum Flavor Burst Adult Chews. They look like small gumballs, but the dosage is 4 per day. I would rather take these than some horse pill. I get them at Walgreens. They have Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, E, Folic Acid, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Iodine and Zinc.
inittothinit 145 Posted June 21, 2014 When I went through my surgery, several on the board recommended trader joe high potency chewable. I take 2 of them and also viactiv chewable calcium(tastes like a tootsie roll) ,my surgeon supports what I take and also said that spreading out the doses during the day helps with absorption. ilove.estates 1 Posted July 13, 2014 I am one week after surgery and tried to chew my chewable vitamins last night for the first time. I got so sick and wanted to throw up. Should I break this pill down in half ?
