I have acrylic nails and my nurse told me I can have them just no nail polish, not even clear! So I will be removing my nail polish tomorrow because my surgery is on Monday!

Aw ok. I'll ask either way just to make sure. My surgery is July 7th

I wear pink and white nails and painted toes and my hospital was okay with that. As another poster stated, the staff need to be able to see your fingernail beds to determine blood flow. They can still check your O2 saturation (Pulse Ox) with the sensor over acrylic nails, but each hospital does things slightly different. I actually received information about this during my pre-admission hospital visit. It was in the paperwork I received.
