how long does it take to be scheduled for surgery

Monday the 23rd im doin my psych evaluation, how long after will i recieve my surgery date? Im so anxious to get it done.

You have to go through a period of supervised reducing your weight before surgery. This is to shrink the liver.

You probably will have to have a sleep study.

You probably will have a stress test.

You might have to have a scope of your throat and stomach.

These are just some of the things your insurance and your surgeon will require.

What surgery are you having?

These are things you and the surgeon and nutritionist should have discussed.

I think it all depends on the surgeon. I did not have to do any type of weight reduction for my doctor. i had an upper gi and that was it. I was approved in less than 48 hours and then got my date

Surgeon and insurance will determine. Even in my orientation class there were a variety of timelines/requirements.

Thank you all. I have completed everything, except for ono on one with dr witch they said i do 3 weeks before surgery.
