I dont have to do a preop diet. But I want to maximize the results! I'm going to work on lowering the carbs coffee and increase the Protein now. Def don't want to deal with the no carbs after surgery.

I seriously can't wait!

Today is 17 days left! I have a countdown app on my phone. I put my leave in for work Thursday. I'm taking 1.5 weeks off. I hope that is enough! Due to other injuries and recoveries he thinks I'm going to have no issues with pain.

Well time is passing and we're almost there. To be honest I'm getting nervous but that wont stop me from accomplishing my goal!

I'm already planning the breast lift I will most likely need. I already found the boobs I want! Now I just have to get to my goal weight loss and see where I'm at!

July 7 here! Can't wait but very much starving on the 4 shake a day diet. I will make it.

This may be an irrational fear but i just imagine myself completely naked on the operating table in front of about 5 people before being knocked out. Anyone know if its like that? I guess if that's the biggest of my fears it can't be that bad.

I've had surgery, (although it wasn't this one yet,) a couple of times, and they've always kept me covered up right up until they knocked me out. It wasn't embarrassing, just a little awkward lying on a table. Everybody was totally professional, and very nice.

You will most likely be asleep before you are in the surgery room. Each time I've had surgery they gave me something to 'relax' me. The next thing I know I'm waking up!

I wouldn't worry about it. They see nakkid people day in and day out! Just like a male gyno..... know how many vaginas he's seem?!??!?#? LOL

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
