I am having the same problem. Some of my steristrips have started to fall off, but the big incisions still have them. It also tends to come and go. What I found helps, because I am unsure whether I am allowed to put anything on it is to ice it for a little while. You might want to give that a try, but don't ice for more than 20 minutes at a time.

Me too! It's not just on the incision sites. It seems like when it comes on, I feel it all over my belly. It's terrible!

Yes, itching is normal. Its a side effect of the healing process within your body. You might notice the same thing if you trip and scrape your knee. Where the skin knits itself back together from the cells working over time to repair, you get the itchies. I always felt it helped to scratch near the offending area but not directly on the area so as not to redamage it!

in case I didn't reply I know what you mean, I had almost an allergic puffiness around each one I thought I was losing my mind! Nothing helped too much except time, 3 days, but at the end I bought Benedryl Spray and it did help a little btw

Mine were glued and they drove me bonkers!! I found keeping them well moisturized several times a day helped a lot with the itching. Even 9 weeks out I have days where they still itch but I think that's probably more internal healing now.

I'm eight weeks out and mine itch all day every day. It's driving me up a wall lol. All my stitches have come off or fallen out at this point so it must be internal healing, which is probably why no matter how hard I itch.. I just can't seem to get to the source lol. I'll take a little itchiness as long as I keep loosing this weight though :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
