How much do your kids weigh? When I was banded I was lifting my then-2 y.o. after about two weeks, even though she was slightly over the limit I'd been given. You're right, it just isn't always possible to completely avoid it when you're feeling fine and there's no one else around.

But why do you need to lift them to put them to bed? If they're little enough to still be in cribs, then I'd imagine they are not so heavy as to do you harm. Can they help you themselves?

Hi,

I'm still going through the approval phase, (and am the mother of a

2 1/2 year old).

When I met my surgeon at my last appt, that was one of my questions. He was great and his answer was "Do you want the medical answer, or the honest answer?" I told him both. He said, medically not for 6-8 weeks, but honestly a mother is going to lift her children. If it hurts don't do it, if you can manage, you will do what you have to do.

I know this probably doesn't help, but it was the answer I got, and I guess the answer I was looking for.

Torias mom's doctor said the same thing my docs say. If it hurts, don't do it. But if something really doesn't hurt (or twinge, even a little), then it's safe to do.

I had the same advice from my doc. I was cleared for normal physical activity at one week post-op. But...I'm not your doctor so maybe you could talk to him/her and see if it's OK?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
