I have my appointment for my Endoscopy tomorrow, I'm not nervous about the procedure as I've been put under at least 6 times in my 24 years of life. I'm more nervous about what they might find?..

Not that I think there's something wrong, I just always have that fear of getting myself checked out and the Dr telling me I'm dying or something lol.

i will be having my endoscopy within the next 3 weeks and i feel the same way. EVERY single specialist ive been to has found something wrong with my Healthwise. pulmonologist diagnosed me as asthmatic, my endocrinologist finally diagnosed me as having subclinical hypothyroidism, my PCP mentioned that my triglycerides are off the charts high, and my cardiologist found that i have prehypertension and rediscovered my cardiac arrythmia!!! ALL of these within the last 5 months ive been on my bariatric journey! so needless to say...im not afraid...but i certainly am holding my breath and praying that AT LEAST my gastroenterologist doesnt have anything crazy to report! you're definitely not alone!

That's horrible!

Sorry they found so many things wrong, But the bright side is after the sleeve all of those thing's should improve.

Thankfully I haven't had such a long road pre-op and all I've really had done other then the endoscopy today is bloodwork.

I know I have high cholesterol/blood pressure, but that's about all I know.

I'm still pre-op, I had my endoscopy last month, it was fast quick and I was as absolutely fine that same day.

I was diagnosed with duodenitis, inflammation of the beginning of my small intestines. They put me on prescription Prilosec now for at least 3 months after surgery- no alcohol, no tabacco, no NSAIDS, no caffeine. My biggest prob is no coffee and no Advil. I've had a hard month since.

U ladies will do great!! Stay positive!!

Yeah the procedure itself is easy, I'm still experiencing some seriously annoying gas pains but I figure I better get use to it if I have any chance of serving surgery..

I take a lot if Tylenol and other over the counter Migraine medicine, Not nearly as much as I use to but I've suffered with headaches since I was a child without and reason to why.

I don't recall having any gas pains but from reading all the post surgery stuff I am getting nervous about the pain from gas and the surgery itself.

I have my last nut appt on Friday. Then they can submit to insurance. Then whenever my surgeon is available date wise...I'm hoping July. My boss just told me today that I can't do it sept or later. Which makes me want it yesterday. Ugh. Oh well!

Hang in there!!

Thanks for checking in!

Yeah I got the results back yesterday, whatevet "inflammation" they took the biopsy from was benign, and no sign of infection or bacteria so I'm happy about that.. The pain I was feeling most likely was the biopsy area the surgeon said, and it went away 2 days later.

I am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy this Friday to see why I am anemic. My gastro guy is thinking it might be celiac disease. Since I am having the endoscopy already, my surgeon said I don't need to do another. I just have to have my gastro doctor fax results to him. Since I have to have Clear liquids for the colonoscopy I figure I might as well stay on liquids until my surgery date of July 8. I stocked up on Protein shakes and and plain greek yogurt to cover my 2 weeks. Yikes! I just realized my new healthy life will start in just 2 short weeks.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
