Sparklingbeauty53 202 Posted June 16, 2014 The only Protein shakes I have tried have been milkshake like flavors-chocolate, vanilla, etc. I see on here there are other varieties ie chicken Soup flavor, Tomato Soup and fruit Nectars. Do you drink them like a shake or do you make chicken Soup with them? It is hard for me to wrap my head around this concept. Unflavored powders you add to things like ? cold or hot? I heard Proteins clump if they are too hot-so how does this work? Thanks!
swimbikerun 1,046 Posted June 16, 2014 Vega - or the like - salad dressings/salad, applesauce, any kind of a berry pie or tart or mixed in a sauce. 1 Sparklingbeauty53 reacted to this
Chelly 364 Posted June 16, 2014 With Proteins you have to be careful with hot because the Protein will clump. The Tomato or chicken Soups have to be with warm Water so that the soups don't clump. If you are putting flavored Protein Powder in lets say sugar free Jello you have to put it in when the liquid has cooled off then mix in the powder till it dissolves. If you out it in sugar free pudding you will have no problem. You could add some powder to cream of wheat Cereal to help get in your protein. You could add it to crystal light in your water. So there are several ways of using protein powder to help get in your protein for the day especially in the early stages after surgery. 1 Sparklingbeauty53 reacted to this

swimbikerun 1,046 Posted June 16, 2014 Has any one tried Island Boost? I dont know if that clumps or not. My friend that uses it said some others did clump but I'm not sure if that was just in Water or not.
betty_s 476 Posted June 16, 2014 I sometimes mixed the chicken flavored Protein (unjury brand) with low sodium chicken broth. i heat the broth up first, make sure its its not over 140*F, then add the Protein and shake it in my shaker bottle. good to switch it up when you mainly find sweet Proteins.
