Lynnheb 1 Posted June 14, 2014 I was sleeved on 4/30/14. I took 5 weeks off of work, returning on 6/514. During my time off I felt wonderful and did not feel any affects of my fibro. I did not take my lyrica. Upon returning to work, I have a stressful job, I started feeling pain and started back on my lyrica this last Tuesday. I have been stalled for 3 weeks. I talked to the nurse and went through my food diary with her. She thinks my body is in stress from going back to work and being in pain. she says my body won't lose weight when it is in stress. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Luvin_Life125 558 Posted June 15, 2014 I am worried about having similar problems. I have chronic low back and leg pain and take many medications just to have basic function. I hope the pain will improve as I lose weight. I am worried between the medications, daily pain, an limited mobility that my weight and surgical success will be hindered. Good luck and I hope this stall breaks soon once your body adjusts.
Keepgoing247 116 Posted June 15, 2014 My fibro is under control unless I'm under a lot of stress. Lyrica is known to cause weight, so I'm sure that doesn't help. I avoid taking it unless I'm really bad. Just keep doing what you know to do, you'll break through the stall soon!!! Congrats on your WLS!
moonlitestarbrite 902 Posted June 16, 2014 if you read the book "ultrametabolism" he explains why its so hard to lose weight when you are having an inflammation crisis. check it out. you may also want to look into the autoimmune paleo diet or even the whole30 diet. both of these food plans can greatly reduce inflammation in your body. good luck! 1 Georgia Pritchett reacted to this
