Lyndy 9 Posted June 13, 2014 Had vsg 2 days ago. The surgeon also repaired a hiatal hernia that I didn't know I had. No pain to speak of other than with eating. I get waves of crampiness below my sternum. I've tried smaller sips but I can't get them much smaller. Working hard to get the 40 grams of Protein in as well as the 40 ounces of Water but the waves of pain are pretty strong sometimes. Is this something the surgeon needs to be aware of? Shiner86 60 Posted June 13, 2014 I am also 2 days out and have had a few. They weren't consistent and walking helped. Also taking the pain meds my dr prescribed are helpful. If they are super painful or really concerning you a simple phone call to your doc might help put your mind at ease. That is what they are there for. I had a hernia as well. Best of luck!! onajournee 20 Posted June 13, 2014 Ask Dr about Levsin prescription if you don't already take it-it's for esophageal spasms and helped alot. I also had hernia repair and i felt like it helped me be able to drink more-less spasms.
