For the post-ops out there... How long before you started noticing loose/excess skin? (Sorry if this is already addressed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it!) I've accepted it's inevitability, just wondering when it kicks in. Of course, I'm secretly hoping I have wonder-skin and it won't happen... A girl can dream, right?

Loose skin & shrinking boob syndrome didn't happen until the very end for me (especially the boobs- probably just the last 15-20 lbs)

My stomach is holding up remarkably well after 70 pounds lost. My boobs started shrinking immediately - I wasn't big to begin with. I have some sagging skin on my inner thighs which bugs me a bit, but bermuda shorts covers it.

** but let me disclose, I already had stretch marks on my belly, so I was going to happen no matter what.

My stomach has been hanging forever, but my boobs lost the weight first and I'm doen a cup size (was small to begin with) and they're incredible saggy (sorry if TMI) I'm just hoping my somach doesn't hang too much further but I concluded a long time ago that there is a Tummy Tuck in my future.

I'm down 85 pounds, 5 pounds from goal, 15 from stretch goal. I noticed it about 1/2 way through. Stomach has held up fairly well, (I'll never qualify for a Tummy Tuck for insurance). Boobs and arms are really loose, but I've always carried a the weight a little high so I guess it's to be expected. Never could wear Victoria's Secret before, but the girls enjoy a nice VC boost today!

Also down 80 lbs just experienced bathing suit vacation and EVERYTHING is wiggly giggly if it wasn't for my excitement at losing the weight and the confidence of that I wouldn't leave the hotel. Quite eye opening as to how fat I was, but Was is the defining factor. So I enjoyed wearing 3 different bathing suit for the fist time in many years

My skin seems to go in phases--it'll look wobbly and loose and then tighten up a bit, then wobbly again. It seems to lag weight loss a bit. My poor flabby booty ain't never coming back though, ugh.

I can speak from first hand experience that my wife's boobs were one of the first things to shrink. She went down a cup size at least. I don't notice when she changes her hair, but I noticed the boob size change immediately :( I don't worry about it too much, we were both sleeved on the same date and good news for her is that I'm losing my boobs too!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
