I am only three pounds from my goal, I feel your pain! I have lost 197 pounds, why do the last three have to feel impossible! My only advice is to change up your routine. Take an exercise class, bike or swim. Check your Protein, if you are getting over 90 grams a day, take it down 5 - 10 grams. Increase your Water. Track everything you are eating, those little bites add up. Try it for a solid week and see if the scale WILL move. Best of luck to you! I need life to slow down for a couple weeks and see if I can focus on these that pounds. Maybe we will make it together!

If you are still losong inches then you are doing great! It means you're losing fat, gaining muscle and toning your body. My surgeon said don't obsess with the scale. Its a great tool, but our bodies are biological not mechanical. We won't lose 1.5 pounds just because we eat 750 calories less than our daily calorie needs. Its not that cut and dried. Our bodies will store and build and retain and object to our effors. But over time it can't win this fight. So check the scale if you must. But when you see the number not moving, just remember your body can only hold out so long.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
